I'm adopting my first chihuahua and have been doing some research. I found out that they can be prone to knee, eye, and heart problems. I currently feed my other dog Evo dog food, will the small bites version meet her nutritional needs too? She is a young adult and is coming from a rescue that doesn't offer any advice on her specific breed. She's so small I'm tempted to feed her soft food too, but I would never do that to my larger dog due to the higher fat content and less nutrients that are in most canned foods. Any advice?

i have a chihuahua/toy poodle puppy that is 5 months old.

She does it even when she's perfectly content, no stress from what I can tell. She doesn't ever destroy anything, it's just very irritating for me to listen to, and I am sure it's bad for her teeth. Why would she be doing this?

After doing much reading I have found my new dog has many heath issues. He is a rescue dog and is on clavamox for his skin injuries. He has been coughing, which may be tracheal issues He had what looked like a seizure his first day here (vet said no, cause he didn't fall over). Today he is not eating, not sure if it's from the antibiotics. Also today he is squinting one of his eyes, won't keep it open for very long and has been sleeping all day.
I love him already and would still like to adopt him, is it worth it? any advise? Good dog health plans? And any ideas on the eye problem. He has lived with me about 4 days and is 6 lbs.

I have a chihuahua puppy who is almost 3 months old. I have been reading about their ears because he only has one ear standing right now. I came across 2 articles that said that these people took their chihuahua puppies to the vet and they pulled the puppy's baby teeth that didnt fall out. Is that common in chihuahua's or any other dogs? If so, how will I know if he needs that done? He only has one ear standing, but I believe its still early for him and hes most definitely in the teething stage since he's not even 3 months yet.
