they are yorkie/chihuahua puppys and the dad is 5 lbs the mom is 7 lbs.

Not a breeder dogs already have a very good home no matter what sex they are or how many....

Dad said i can have one (which i want real bad) a chihuahua puppy if i find one that's cheep.

I adopted a little dog from a Rescue Shelter, and love him dearly! The people at the shelter said he was Chihuahua-Mix, maybe Pomeranian. But when I looked it up online, he looks JUST like a long haired chihuahua! I took him to the Vet for a checkup and asked them what breed they thought he was. They said, "Looks like long-haired Chihuahua to me!" and that you don't often find purebreds in a Shelter, plus he's 8 pds, a little bigger than the usual Chi. I'm not looking to breed him (he's neutered) but wouldn't mind showing him. My Dad shows his dogs, and I think it would be fun. What kind of Shows could I put him in if I don't have proof he's a purebred? (I love him just the same, so please no smart remarks!) Just curious!

My chihuahua just had puppies yesterday and I am wondering if they will take after their dad (long hair) or mom (short hair). All 3 puppies have short hair but they are only 1 day old so I don't know.

So our dog Kisses just had 6 puppies, she a Chihuahua mix of some kind. The father Perdo is all Chihuahua. As far as I know there are 4 males and 2 females. All of them are white, tan, or a mix of both. Any suggestions?
I'm not with the puppies, I haven't seen them yet. I'm going for a visit in February and I promised my dad some names.

My husband and I are driving from Kansas to Wisconsin we are only staying in WI for a couple hrs to pay respects to my dad then driving straight across to northern Minnesota, how can I keep my 3 lb chihuahua warm and confortable in the car when we have to stop and stretch our legs, eat, potty etc and how can I make sure he is relieved on the road he is paper trained otherwise and has been known to NOT go potty unless there is paper Im afraid he is going to hurt himself by not going or have accidents in the car and he will NOT do a kennel I have been trying to kennel train and he litteraly screams and gets very upset (he is just a baby 5 mos old) to keep him warm I do sweaters and t shirts also he does have little coats two winter coats for when he is outside but he still shakes a ton and in the northern states it is sub zero right now so I just want to make sure he is extra comfortable and happy on this trip

My dad came home with a 1- month old puppy (chihuahua/ Pit bull mix), and I have never taken care of any dogs/puppies b4, I beleive its already vaccinated, but not 100% sure. So what do you recommend, like what do I feed the puppy, what should I do or not do etc,

The mother got sick and died, not sure why, and why the owner couldn't keep all the puppies, That is what was explained to me, like I said I have no exxperience in this department, and I was told something about shots so idk, and yes it is rare for it to be a pitbull/chihuahua but it is.
Thanks for all the answers, I had no idea it was that bad to take the puppy away so young mom or no mom..so i will take the puppy to the vet asap, and no beleive me my dad wouldn't had paid for the puppy, and I just feel so bad for it so I will do my best to see that it is taken care of.
