have you even thought about that maybe some dogs NEED the clothes?! Like hairless dogs? or Chihuahua's, who freeze easily?
just wanted to say this: I know i could be spending my money on other stuff. but i dont want my dog to freeze to death when i take her outside. so I need to wrap her up in warm stuff. thanks

My friend is looking for a chihuahua, but she's not loaded, so she would like to find one for under bucks. Preferably FREE. I still find it surprising that they SELL living things, but hey, that's greed for ya... anyway, she wants one from either a good breeder or a rescue that has no health problems apparent and has not been bred to be viscious. It must be 2-3 pounds by 10 weeks, or it will have health problems, keep that in mind. She lives in maryland, so it has to be in MD, VA, PA or as a last resort, WV. Can anyone direct me to such a place? Coloring does not matter, size (except for weight, as i said before) does not matter. Preferably long-haired female, but long-haired male is ok. Thanks!

and yes, i'm a believer that selling anything living is wrong. even if people think they're stupid, they will get love even if you don't have to pay for it. and don't pull the 'animal abuse' trick on me, cuz that makes me cry, and anyway, humans are abused just as much and the only commercials you see are about starving children. at least some starving pets are HAPPY.

Myself & boyfriend are looking to buy a chihuahua in the near future. I had 2 pups of this breed as a child (Smooth & Long Coat). Though this is not my usual breed (Siberian Huskies) Im now looking for a less demanding dog lol.

Myself & partner have no other pets or children we also have a large back garden to accommodate the dog.

Im undecided on which sex to have at the moment as I know each sex has advantages/disadvantages, though I am swaying more to a bitch. The puppy will be purely as a PET I have no intention of showing, breeding etc. I just want something to spoil rotten!!

I have been doing some Research on the breed & have found that this breed come in both apple shaped head & deer heads, I prefer the apple shaped. Although Im undecided on long coat or smooth coat? can anyone tell me which one sheds the less? I have read that long coat does, though my mom tells me the smooth coat is more likely to shed.

I live in the West Midlands area, I have considered rescue though I have not successfully found a rescue centre, can anyone help me out?

Also can some one advise me of the going rate of a chihuahua & what to be aware of when buying from a breeder, ie, its female so costs more, its a tea cup so costs more etc?? I know in the Husky world many breeders try these type of things to earn more money. As I am fairly new to this breed I need some tips

I'm looking to adopt a puppy in Buffalo, NY. I've looked at all of the animal rescue groups, petfinder.com, 1800saveapet, etc, and the SPCA website (which does not let you view pets pictures right now) - and cannot find a pomeranian chihuahua mix (or pomchi). I am trying to get this particular kind of dog because I lost my dog of 7 years due to Hurricane Katrina (I evacuated from New Orleans) and I'd like to get another one just the same.

Please help!
